CyberSNova ("CyberSNova", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website cybersnova.co.in and its associated internship and certification services (collectively, the "Platform"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Platform or apply for an internship, and it describes your rights regarding that information. By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

  • Contact details — email address, phone number, WhatsApp number, postal address
  • Academic details — college/institution name, course, year of study
  • Application content — internship domain chosen, motivation statement

1.2 Information collected automatically:

  • Log data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, timestamps
  • Cookies — small data files used to keep you signed in and remember preferences (see Section 6)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Process and evaluate your internship application
  • Communicate with you about tasks, deadlines, evaluations, and offer letters
  • Generate and issue your Certificate of Internship and support its verification
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and its features
  • Respond to inquiries submitted through our Contact form
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent applications or misuse of the Platform
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations under Indian law

3. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the basis of: (a) your consent, given when you submit an application or contact form; (b) the necessity of processing to provide the internship services you have requested; and (c) our legitimate interest in operating and improving the Platform, balanced against your rights and freedoms.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share limited information with:

  • Mentors and evaluators — to review your submitted reports and tasks
  • Service providers — email delivery, cloud hosting, and analytics providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations
  • Legal and regulatory authorities — where required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights
  • Certificate verifiers — a limited set of fields (name, program, certificate ID, status) is shown publicly to anyone using the Verify Certificate tool, since certificates are designed to be publicly verifiable

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data, including CSRF protection on all forms, hashed (never plain-text) password storage, HTTPS encryption in production, secure cookie handling, and restricted admin access. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies (such as session and CSRF cookies) to keep the Platform functioning securely. We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy — typically for the duration of your internship plus a reasonable period afterward for certificate verification and legal record-keeping. You may request earlier deletion as described in Section 8, subject to our legal retention obligations.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational limits
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal
  • Lodge a complaint with the appropriate authority if you believe your data has been mishandled

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 11.

9. Children's Privacy

Our Platform is intended for students who are at least 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16 without parental or guardian consent. If you believe a minor has provided us data without appropriate consent, please contact us so we can take corrective action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

11. Contact & Grievance Officer
